Mauric, Sounds more Knigh...: Man With A Three Taled Fox

Hello, you don't know me, but I admire all that you do. Don't let go of your purity, regardless of what people put you through. The afterlife is MADE for those like you. Filling our children with wonder, and amazement as opposed to temptation, and Lust for power. You beauty is so radiant, only the sun could equal it's brightness. That smile could melt glaciers, the Titanic needed a woman like you on board. If you ever wanna talk about spirituality, and stuff. I'm very down to earth, and wouldn't mind having a conversation with you that would take me to the heavens. Just talking with women like you keeps my head in the clouds, because I know you would always understand the lesson. Nothing sexual, or lude. Just Religious talk, and what I plan to build for souls like you. I love souls like you...you inspire me to move the heavens, just for one more smile. I live in a dark place...smiles are scarce. I'm here to change all that. Don't be afraid to send me a message. Follow the fairies!

Young Faeling: Absolutely Enthralling

Hi Twig! Remember me? Last summer, May and the May before that I was absolutely enthralled by your beautiful face and music. My cousin Abryanna kept blabbering about a fairy, a fairy and at first I thought she was full of beans. But then, when i saw you, I just bubbled over with absolute wonder. I look forward to you every year and love being around you. I loook forward to you in Scarborough in May!

Moth: The Magik

Out of all my Faire experiences, Twig has to be my most heart-felt memory. She was a captivating fae with gossamer wings, her light and airy path marked all that saw her with curiosity and wonder. Small children couldn't help but stop, stare, and run up to her. The smile upon her face envied the sun, she was in a word MAGIKAL. You are my idol. Ever have I seen her at Faires and now, seeing as I am employed at one I have looked to her antics, expressions, and mannerisms on how Fae should act. Thank you for the impression you left upon me. I will do my best to play the fairy Moth in Titania's Court. Thank you for being you, Twig

Ginger Ackley: Happy to find my favorite Fairy!

Twig... I am so happy to have encountered you - first at Scarby... then at Colorado... It doesn't look like you are coming to Ohio, though the Great Lakes Medieval Faire would be perfect!  Shall I send them a request for you?  I hope to be playing there myself next season!

I live in Ohio, now - and finally have found the love of my life.  We were married in September.  I hope to get back to Texas this Spring, so you can meet him!

I have some music I would like to share with you sometime.   I play the whistle, too, and have several that Eric made.  One song is called "The Fae Child's Aire" - a melody that was in my head as I woke one morning...

Thank you for all the smiles.  Just looking at the pictures brings back the sweet memories!

Looking forward to next time...

Best of all to you, my favorite Fae!

Annalyne Simon: The Twig Story

Once upon a time there was a fairy named Twig. She was pretty and she played the flute and danced around. Twig gives the children pretty blue star shaped rocks. My blue rock had lots of fairy dust on it. Twig has pretty wings, but I never saw her fly. I think Twig is about five feet tall. Twig wrote some nice words on my 2010 Twig calendar, and then she signed it.

I first met Twig at the 2005 Ren Fest in Huntersville, NC. She was so captivating to me. I  have returned to the festival every year since and have my picture taken with her every year. I actually just returned today from the festival and spent most of my day looking for her. I finally found her and acted like a little girl when I saw her; so full of excitement and happiness. Once again I had my picture taken with her and also got her "autograph". I let her know that I was happy to have seen her and that I thought she wasn't there this year. I have pictures of Twig all over my refrigerator. She is beautiful in every way and brings such light to me when I see her and tell others about her sightings each year.

Windy: First Rennesance, First Sighting

Just yesterday I went to my first Rennesance Faire in my life, and everything was incredible as everyone says it is. The foods, the shops, the jousts.... and a certian little fairy wandering around and handing out her magic stones.

I know I'm what most people consider way too old to like fairies, but I still love them. Everything about fairy lore still facinates me to no end. I had only been at the faire for maybe half an hour when I saw Twig, wings shimmering, playing a cheerful nameless tune on her odd little flute. I was hooked at once. And I was especialy surprised when she gave me a stone, for I would have thought that she was an entertaner just for the younger ones. But I guess age doesn't matter when it comes to fairy love.

I ended up seeing Twig maybe twice throughout the day, always getting a stone. And I just couldn't quit looking at her. She just seemed so cheerful, so sweet, with just a touch of mystery to her. I watched all the little kids come her way, watched her smiling at them and playing her flute. I thought that, like the other performers who were doing this kind of stuff all day, she would eventually get tired of it and loose some of her charm. But no, it was like she was made for the job. Even my parents loved her.

Twig was a main conversation topic for me and my group as we headed on home. She had left a lasting impression on us, old as we were. We couldn't quit wonderng about where she had come from, why she had never spoken a word, etc., etc..

But I guess that's what fairies are all about, right? They never really come, they never really go. They're just suddenly there, in glitterng music and magic. They brighten your day and show you there's still magic left in the world.

So thank you, Twig, for my first Rennesance. I hope to see you next year!

Amanda Haskell: I want to be just like twig....

I was kind of little, but i knew. I wanted to be just like twig. My best friends taught me a little sign language, and there i was, talking to twig in sign language. Every year i go to the Minnesota Rennisaunce festival just to talk to twig. Right away I go to my father and say, "Dad, lets go find Twig." And every time i do. Twig is my ultimate fairy.I thank my friends every time i see them. You see, their parents are deaf. Actually, their parents are the directors of the deaf ministry of my great home church, First Baptist Church of Rosemount. I got a picture taken with twig, and i love it. Thank you for reading my twig story, and if you are church shopping in minnesota, first baptist is a great church!

Kale: We just are

The thing about Twig, is that if you truly look for her, you'll never find her. If you look with your heart, and wander around the faire enjoying yourself, you might just stumble apon a fairy with a love for glitter.

Many people love Twig, many people want to know who she is, or why she does, what she does. I do not know the answers to these questions- all I know is that she is. That's what's so magical about her, she just does what she loves to do. It doesn't matter why she does it- it just matters when you see the look on a four-year-olds face when they've been having a bad day, and then they meet her. The rest of their lives they will remember the fairy- and if there was any real fairy, Twig would be the one.

And all of these years later, when I think back to the time I was smal too, the memory doesn't change. It doesn't get tinted by the elements of "here", or "I'm older now", those don't change anything about the way I feel. Twig makes you a child again, it doesn't matter how old you are, or even how old your supposed to act, it just matters that you just are.

Guest: My daughters best friend

Twig,

We attend the Ren Fest in Minnesota each year. A few years ago we say you for the first time. You left such an impression on my daughters that we have returned each year specifically to see you. My seven year old daughter has a form of autism and has trouble making friends. Ever since she saw you for the first time she has refered to you as her best friend. You have brought hope to my little girl.

We missed you this year, although we looked for you all day. We will surely be back next year so Faith can have another chance to see her "best friend".

Thank you.

Guest: My Little Eyes of Awe!!!

My daughter Chloe has just fell in love with Twig...and I must say I have too.. She is the main reason we attend the festival...When I see Chloe with her, my eyes swell up as they are now..I have made her believe so much in fairys and the mythology behind them that she really truly believes that Twig is the mother to all the fairies...We love you Twig, please do not ever stop coming to Huntersville NC....it would never be the same without you!!!

All of our love,

The Stricklins

Enchantressa: Annonymously Making Trips Better

Dear Twig,

I attended the Minnesota Renaissance Faire for my birthday with a group of friends - we're family, truly, we call ourselves the Pack - a few years ago. While I must admit, I remember I was expecting more role playing and less commercialism, I remember a couple small acting groups and people who seemed to truly have the spirit of the place.

When I found this site, the picture looked so familiar...and then the stories of the little magical stones?

One of the few things that seemed right at the Faire, and it could only have been Twig. My thanks to you, and do I quite wish I still had my stone. I could use a wish now! Continue to make days brighter,

 The Enchantressa
